The Dogwood Cafe opened on May 25, 2005 by owners and 2007 newlyweds Brooks and Brooke Kitchens.

Brooks tends to the back of the house by running the kitchen, food orders, and freshly preparing all of the wonderful homemade food. Brooke takes care of front of the house issues, including wait staff, the bar, and customer service, which is a primary focus at the Cafe.

The restaurant is a medium-sized operation specializing in Southern- style cuisine at affordable prices in a casual, lively atmosphere.
